Ed Weber – Vice President: Claims & MLRO

Ed serves as the primary source for all claim-related issues in the office and works closely with a number of accounts that have reinsurance placements behind the client's captive. When appropriate, Ed has provided claims expertise on an ad hoc basis for captives under management. Ed is also responsible for the day-to-day claims operation of United Insurance Company a Cayman-based reinsurance company managed by Aon Insurance Managers Cayman, that provides bespoke reinsurance solutions to Aon managed clients worldwide.

Effective April, 2012, Ed took on the role of Aon Insurance Managers Cayman's statutory Anti-Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO)

Ed has more than 15 years of experience with complex claim handling and litigation management across all lines of business.

Ed began his insurance career with Great American Insurance Company in Cincinnati, Ohio and held various claims positions including claim representative, litigation specialist, supervisor and branch claim manager with GAI and later a large Japanese insurance carrier, also in Cincinnati, Ohio. In 2004, Ed joined Aon Global Risk Consulting in suburban Cleveland, Ohio where he served as on-shore claims consultant to Aon managed captives in various domiciles, including the Cayman Islands. Prior to joining Aon, Ed practiced law with the Sanders Law Firm in Covington, Kentucky. He maintains his Kentucky and Ohio law licenses.

Ed joined the Aon Insurance Managers Cayman team in April 2010.
