Aon Reinsurance CEE Analytics

Central and Eastern Europe’s (CEE) Analytics team based in Prague and Bratislava offices is divided into three centres of excellence – Actuarial, Impact Forecasting and Catastrophe Management.

The Actuarial team provides the clients with studies covering all classes of property and casualty reinsurance, including traditional and non-traditional reinsurance solutions. The team’s expertise includes wide range of topics, including reinsurance pricing and optimization, portfolio modeling, reinsurance premiums allocations, exposure and experience analyses and measuring the efficiency of reinsurance covers according to Solvency II regulations.

The Impact Forecasting team is focused exclusively on the development of internal catastrophe models. The history of models development in the CEE region goes back to 2002, when the first version of the Czech flood model was released even before the major flood event in August 2002. Currently Impact Forecasting offers continuous coverage with flood and earthquake models across the CEE region. All models are available to clients through licensing of the ELEMENTS software.

The Catastrophe Management team deals with the modeling of catastrophe exposures using a wide range of proprietary (IF) as well as third party catastrophe models (RMS, AIR, EQECAT), covering all common perils in the CEE region – flood, windstorm and earthquake. Experts with different scientific backgrounds are dealing with all aspects of catastrophe modeling, including third party catastrophe models evaluation, portfolio optimization and reinsurance pricing studies.

In an ever changing world, the Analytics team is trying to help Aon Benfield clients to make informed decisions in an uncertain future.
