Rob Fletcher – Executive Director
Rob joined Aon in 2005 where he manages a team of eighteen, working on twenty-eight clients. He sits on Aon’s global Taxation and Regulations Committee and provides support to the Aon Guernsey office on matters relating to taxation, regulations, compliance, ICT, audit and accounting. Rob has held thirty-six directorships of insurance companies (seventeen are current) including protected cell companies as well as other appointments to investment and holding companies. Rob has been the operational executive for captives whose parents operate in a diverse range of sectors including banking & finance, transport, energy, engineering, utilities, aviation, food, health, manufacturing, packaging, motor, retail insurance (life and general), reinsurance, leisure and international sport. Rob has set-up numerous insurance companies including commercial rated reinsurance companies and has extensive experience dealing with A.M. Best from initial rating to rating review.
Rob’s technical expertise includes extensive knowledge on:
- Protected Cell Companies and Incorporated Cell Companies
- Guernsey Insurance Regulation
- Guernsey Company Law
- UK and International Accounting Standards
- Taxation (Primarily Guernsey, Swiss and UK)
Prior to joining Aon, Rob trained as an Accountant with PricewaterhouseCoopers. He then worked for MeesPierson (private banking) before starting his career in captive management with Thomas Miller in 2003.
Rob has a BA Honours Degree in Accounting, is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and a member of the Institute of Directors.
