Manchester United Brings Premier League Trophy to Chicago

CHICAGO, July 20, 2011 – Arguably one of the most famous pieces of championship hardware in the world, the English Premier League (EPL) Premiership trophy, will be on public display at the Aon Center in Chicago as part of Manchester United's 2011 Summer Tour.

Manchester United, the most successful team in Premier League history with 19 championships, will be playing the Chicago Fire on Saturday, July 23 at Soldier Field. The team defeated the New England Revolution 4-1 in Boston on July 13 and will play the Seattle Sounders FC in Seattle on July 20. After Chicago, Manchester United travels to New Jersey to play the MLS All Stars at Red Bull Arena on July 27 and finishes their North American tour on July 30 in Washington D.C. against Barcelona FC at FedEx Field.
