Confidence is improving in the aerospace industry, with over 80% of airports forecasting an increase in passenger number forecasts for 2011/12 insurance programmes, according Aon’s Aerospace Insurance Market Outlook 2012/13. Airframe and component manufacturers are also more upbeat, with over 60% forecasting turnover increases, compared to 40% for 2010/11 insurance programmes.
