Workplace Violence

According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, an average of 564 work-related homicides occurred each year from 2004 to 2008 in the United States. Workplace violence and other related threats, such as sabotage, can have a direct impact on an organization's staff.

Workplace violence can also impact an organization's morale, productivity and employee/customer/vendor retention. In addition, it can also damage an organization's reputation resulting in harm to value, image, brand and growth.

In the video above, Sean Ahrens, Aon Global Risk Consulting's Security Consulting Practice Leader, discusses proactive steps to eliminate or limit direct threats to an organization's most important asset — its people.
