Aon Strengthens its Market-Leading Position in the Employee Pensions Segment through Acquisition of PWZ Ltd in Switzerland

Zurich, 5 July 2017 – Aon plc (NYSE:AON), a leading global professional services firm providing a broad range of risk, retirement and health solutions, today announced Aon Switzerland Ltd has acquired all business units of the insurance and pensions advisory firm PWZ Ltd. With the acquisition of PWZ Ltd., Aon Switzerland Ltd further strengthens its market-leading position in the employee pensions segment.Founded in 1985 and based in Zurich, PWZ Ltd. is an independent insurance broker that provides personal and property insurance and insurance of assets for Swiss SMEs, specialising in employee pension schemes. Under the stewardship of its owner, Roberto Pertoldi, the company has a wide range of expertise and professional services.

Until further notice, Roberto Pertoldi will continue to oversee operations at PWZ and also take on the new role of Chief Development Officer on the Executive Management Board of Aon Switzerland Ltd.
