Mr Philippi is a German national and is fluent in English and Japanese. He is also a keen sportsman having played semi-professional football for clubs in Germany, USA, Japan and Luxembourg.
Commenting on his new role, Clemens Philippi said, ”I am delighted to have been appointed as Business Director for Japan Group UK. London is the insurance hub for Japanese businesses to purchase cover for all of their European operations so this is a very exciting market in which to be operating. I have always had a close affinity to Japan and its culture so this is a great opportunity for me to continue the successful growth of Japan Group UK.”
Christopher Lawrence, Managing Director, of Aon Risk Management Solutions (RMS), commented, “Our ability to offer and provide effective client services to Japanese businesses in London has become an increasingly important part of our work over recent years. Given Clemens’ close connections to Japan, I am confident that he will be an excellent addition to our team as we further develop the business to meet the changing needs of our clients and the marketplace.”
