New Managing Director for Aon Insurance Managers (Isle of Man) Limited

LONDON  –  2 August 2005 – Aon has announced that Mike Henthorn has been appointed as Managing Director of Aon Insurance Managers (Isle of Man) Limited, a division of Aon Captive Services Group.

Mr Henthorn has successfully managed Aon’s corporate insurance broking operations in the Isle of Man for many years, during which time he has developed excellent background knowledge of Aon’s Isle of Man captive business.  He will be responsible for both the captive and broking operations on the Isle of Man.

Clive James, Group Managing Director for Aon Insurance Managers commented: “I am delighted to welcome Mike to the Aon Captive Services Group family. His considerable knowledge of the broking market and involvement in Isle of Man business issues will enhance our already successful Manx operations. The combination of the captive and broking operations will widen our skill base in the Isle of Man and provide further opportunities to expand. Mike will play a key part in this opportunity by using his knowledge and skills in this area. Duncan will initially work closely with Mike to ensure a smooth transition of the captive responsibilities.”

Mike Henthorn added: “I am committed both to the ongoing success of the Aon operations on the Isle of Man and the Island economy in general.  We have huge opportunities here and I am looking forward to working with my talented Aon colleagues and friends in the Island business community and Government to achieve this.”

Mike Henthorn is the immediate past President of the Isle of Man Chamber of Commerce. He succeeds the previous MD of Aon Insurance Managers (Isle of Man) Limited, Duncan Donald, who has been promoted to the board of Aon Captive Services Group.
