2017 Investment Breakfast Series - Getting to the heart of key investment topics

Alternative indexation and private markets to Factor investing and private markets
Wednesday 29 March 2017

The investment landscape has undergone some seismic shifts in the past decade. As a pension scheme trustee or company representative, the challenge of a low return and high volatility environment in itself is not easy. Let alone when many schemes are trying to close an increasing funding deficit.

We understand these challenges and would therefore like to invite you to join the first of our 2017 Investment Breakfast Series, being held on 29 March in London. In this session you'll hear directly from our investment specialists on two topical investment ideas;

Factor investing, and its common derivations of “smart beta” and “alternative indexation”, will be looked at in detail. For us factor investing is a systematic way to actively select stocks at a relatively low cost. A number of factors have been shown to add value over the last year or two. Understand the different factors available, how to judge which one(s) to use and how to combine them for the best results

Private markets: as schemes shift away from investing mainly in corporate bonds for income, demand for alternative cash flow generating assets has increased. We look at some of the less liquid alternatives seeing greater demand from pension schemes and the investment opportunities available

The discussions will take place over breakfast (07:45 – 09:00) at the Aon centre – 122 Leadenhall Street, London.

This invite is open to all involved with the management of DB pension schemes, and we welcome you to also share this with appropriate colleagues.

The event is free to attend and spaces are limited so please sign-up early to avoid disappointment.
