Community Involvement at Aon

Aon is committed to strengthening the communities where we do business by sharing our human, intellectual and financial resources. Through our community involvement efforts, including corporate philanthropy, employee giving and volunteer programs, we strive to create a meaningful and lasting impact.

The Aon Foundation

The Aon Foundation is the principal vehicle for Aon's philanthropic programs in the US. The Foundation's charitable giving is focused primarily on promoting access to and excellence in education. We believe that education sets the foundation for future success, for individuals as well as the business community. Therefore, we invest in programs that make a marked difference in the academic achievement of young people and help to develop our future workforce.

The Foundation also supports the enrichment of our society through arts and cultural programs and community and human service projects that serve diverse communities, with emphasis on organizations that foster the development of at-risk youth. The Foundation has a particular interest in organizations and programs that align with Aon's corporate values.

Aon partners with several organizations to make this possible, including Boys and Girls Clubs, Habitat for Humanity, Junior Achievement, Misericordia, Special Olympics, the Tax Assistance Program, United Way and the YMCA. Over the past several years, Aon has received a number of awards in recognition of its support for these and other organizations.

In addition, the Aon Foundation played a leading role in establishing the Aon Memorial Education Fund, which is dedicated to providing post-secondary educational opportunities for the dependant children of Aon employees lost to the World Trade Center terrorist attacks on September 11th.

The Aon Foundation is currently reviewing grant proposals by invitation only. Organizations with demonstrated successes in the foundation's areas of interest will be contacted and asked to submit a proposal. Please note that any unsolicited letters of inquiry or proposals will not be reviewed.
