Aon Master Trust appoints new Head
Sydney, 10 January 2017 - Aon Hewitt has today announced the appointment of Jennifer Dean as the new head of the multi-award winning Aon Master Trust in Australia, bringing over 20 years of industry experience to the role.
As Head of the Aon Master Trust, Jennifer will be responsible for overseeing the operations and growth strategy of the superannuation fund, including member experience, investments and insurance to governance and regulatory compliance.
"We are excited to have Jennifer take on this new role, especially as we go through the next stage of evolution, focused on re-framing our offering to ensure critical market and client relevance," said Steven Gaffney, Chief Executive Officer, Aon Hewitt Pacific. "Jennifer's intellect and passion for the industry will drive a new way of delivering the Trust to the market – with the client always top of mind."
Jennifer joined Aon Hewitt in 1997 and was appointed a Director of Aon Superannuation Pty Limited in 2012. She is a member of the Aon Hewitt Pacific Operating Committee and also sits on the Aon Hewitt Asia Pacific Retirement and Investment Practice Council, responsible for improving retirement governance and developing retirement solutions.
She formerly led the internal Office of the Trustee function for Aon Superannuation Pty Ltd responsible for the governance, risk management, operations and compliance of the board and all its sub-committees.
"I am excited to be leading the Aon Master Trust during a period of growth and change, as we implement our broader retirement and investment strategy," said Jennifer.
"The crucial priority for our talented local team is leveraging our global thought leadership and local customer insights to implement member and client led solutions, and deliver better retirement outcomes as well as enhanced financial wellness.
"Our relationships with key strategic partners will also be vital to implement collaborative solutions as the concept of work and retirement evolves."
Jennifer is also a regular contributor to industry working groups, particularly on the topics of governance, risk management and regulation, and has spoken at many conferences on these topics. She was NSW chair of Aon's Women's International Network (WIN) for over five years and currently sits on the Board of Basketball NSW.
Janice Sengupta, Jennifer's predecessor, will concentrate her efforts as Head of Aon Investment Solutions (AIS) for the Asia Pacific region and will remain a Director of the Aon Master Trust.
The Aon Master Trust is a multi-award winning fund and has been named the Australian Financial Review Smart Investor's Retail Super Fund of the Year for the last three years in a row.
