Dermot Finnerty – Director & General Manager

Dermot joined Aon Insurance Managers Dublin in January 1993. Through the years he was promoted through various positions within the company with promotion to Director in April 2006. During that time he managed a wide portfolio of non-life insurance and reinsurance companies for European, Asia and North American clients in addition to having responsibilities in Finance, Treasury, Systems Integration and Business Development departments as well as various Aon group related projects. Dermot has extensive experience in diversified portfolios of client companies, covering various risks in over 90 territories, as well as being a Director on a number of client companies and having worked on a World Bank project undertaking the review of the insurance industry in Jordan.

In 2010, Dermot was appointed General Manager of Aon Insurance Managers Malta - PCC and appointed to the clients Boards. As a member of Aon Global Risk Consulting, he has worked on a number of projects involving risk financing, captive solutions and Solvency II requirements.

Dermot is a fellow of the Association of Certified Chartered Accountants.
