Aon Evening Seminar: Preparing for the future

Cork, Tuesday, 27 November 2018

It's no secret that the pensions market in Ireland – particularly in the DC space – is expected to see significant change over the next number of years; The Pensions Authority has announced that it wants to see a significant consolidation in the number of DC plans, the proposed introduction of auto enrolment in 2022 and the ever increasing governance and compliance requirements could make DC pensions feel a burden for many trustees and employers.

During this seminar we shall be sharing our latest views on the new journeys which pension schemes across Ireland are embarking upon – and the new destinations to which they are headed. We are also delighted to welcome two legends of Irish rugby: Peter O'Mahony & Dónal Lenihan, both of Cork Con, Munster, Ireland and the British & Irish Lions. Both Peter and Dónal will share their playing experiences, which have already delivered such outstanding success, and Peter will discuss how and his team mates are preparing for the future.

At Aon, we believe that today is the opportunity for trustees and employers to embrace the future and make changes now that will effectively deal with these future challenges. During this discussion, we will outline our thoughts around:

  • How to improve scheme governance
  • Improve the quality of investment options
  • Simplify the member experience
  • Increase member engagement
  • Ultimately deliver better retirement outcomes for member

Both Peter and Dónal will also be delighted to take your questions on all aspects of the sport and their experiences to date.

Taking place at the Maryborough House Hotel, this discussion has been specifically designed for Trustees, HR Managers, Finance Professionals and all involved in the running of their company's pension scheme.

There will also be plenty of opportunity to pose questions to the Aon experts along with Peter & Dónal, and continue the discussions over drinks and buffet. We are certain it will be a most enjoyable and informative evening.
