Job Responsibilities:
  • Working with clients in Japan, as a client manager, on various aspects of Treaty placements. Typical advices provided to clients are placement structuring / design, available coverage & capacity, likely pricing, potential coverage enhancements, selection of markets (reinsurers) and general market information.
  • Work on and provide supporting analytics and research required to develop and deliver market presentation and broking strategy (Both individually and alongside Analytics and Modelling teams)
  • Identifying appropriate channels for risk placement based on clients’ market security guidelines and other requirements, exerting influence on the market in order to secure the best deals
  • Negotiating the best terms and conditions of placement with the market
  • Working in compliance with the Aon’s code of conducts.  
 Required Skill & Experience:
  • Ideally good experience in the re/insurance industry combined with good understanding of Japanese business style.
  • A proven ability to support / guide clients through difficult market changing circumstances
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively at various levels, to build strong relationships with clients.
  • Strong technical ability to deal with basic numerical work (good understanding of cat modelling and DFA).
  • An ability to learn and build a broad understanding of Aon’s products and bring the best of Aon to clients 
  • Inspires commitment and action in others (both internally and externally) through strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Fluent in Japanese and English speaking, reading and writing.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
