Windstorm Herwart

Windstorm Herwart swept through Central Europe on October 29, 2017, prompting widespread damage and disruption due to high winds and flooding along the North Sea coast caused by a large storm surge. Among the worst affected countries were Germany, Austria and the Czech Republic. Ten people died, while the insurance sector counted losses in the hundreds of millions USD.
