In February 2024, Professional Services Practice’s Loss Prevention team launched a survey of general counsels of large and sophisticated law firms across the United States to explore their policies and practices relating to a number of important professional responsibility and liability issues.

Topics included generative artificial intelligence use, advance waivers, lawyers serving on boards and as trustees, firms accepting stock in lieu of fees, and firms suing clients for unpaid fees.

The results of the survey are explored in the Summer 2024 edition of the Loss Prevention team’s Quality Assurance Review.
