Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) is a process effected by an entity's Board of Directors, management and other personnel, applied in strategy setting and across the enterprise, designed to identify potential events that may affect the entity and to manage risk to be within its risk appetite and to provide reasonable assurance regarding the achievement of entity objectives. ERM is sometimes known as holistic risk management.

Aon's ERM practice was formed in 1999. Since then, the team has assisted many clients from a variety of industries and locations with the identification, assessment, quantification and treatment of their risks.
