In the aftermath of the devastation, significant loss of life and estimated $15 billion in damage resulting from Category 5 Hurricane Dorian in parts of the Bahamas, Tropical Storm Imelda made landfall in Texas bringing more than 40 inches of flooding rains to the state, including near Houston. Total economic losses may reach into the hundreds of millions of dollars. Aon Property Claims leaders and Aon’s Impact Forecasting team are carefully monitoring all significant storm activity, including storm surge, heavy rainfall, flooding, wind intensity and the potential for property damage.
