Client Connects - Events
through the Year
FMCG Industry Roundtable - Solutions through
Conversations
Aon hosted its first-ever consumer sector roundtables in Mumbai
and Gurgaon in the last quarter of 2015. The focus of these halfday
events was to create an open environment for organizations
to ask questions about the issues and challenges they are facing.
The aim was to bring about conversations that would put forth
the manner in which other companies would have tackled similar
problems in the past and could provide insights and solutions on
the same. The session also provided an opportunity for Aon to
present insights from research we conduct on the consumer and
other allied industry. These included thoughts and viewpoints
on executive compensation, changing aspects of organizations'
rewards philosophies, etc. The events saw participation from
rewards managers from more than 20 organizations and
provided a platform to build a community of professionals that
everyone can reach out to for support and alternate viewpoints.
Life Sciences Roundtable - Looking Beyond
Compensation and Benefits
The first Aon Life Sciences Roundtable - North Chapter,
was held in May 2016 in Gurgaon. This was attended
by clients from all sectors of the life sciences industry
- pharmaceuticals, medical technology and CRO. The
event was held with the idea of bringing together HR and
rewards professionals to discuss the business and rewards
trends in the Life sciences sector. In addition a key talking
point was the Payment of Bonus Act 2015 and the National
Pension Scheme. The session further deliberated on topics
like differentiated strategies for retention, looking beyond
compensation and benefits and the impact of having a
multi-generational workforce. The insights from all these
discussions proved to be great takeaways for clients.
Metals & Mining Industry
Roundtable - Help in the
Times of Instability
Aon concluded its first Metals &
Mining forum in April 2016 which
was followed by the industry
roundtable. The roundtable focused
on discussions around the rewards
trends in the industry. Currently
majority of the metals and mining
clients are facing challenges due
to prevailing global instability
around pricing. Profitability in this
industry is governed by backward
linkages to the demand that is
generated by industries such as
infrastructure and automobiles.
Apart from engaging with the clients
on various rewards and people
requirements related themes, Aon
also took this opportunity to engage
with the clients on the theme of
global mobility solutions. This was
done in light of supporting such
global businesses with regards
elements around manpower
planning and cost management.
