Our philosophy: employ skilled, ambitious people, and offer them the support they need to develop. As an Aon graduate, we’ll give you room to grow alongside talented colleagues, helping you find opportunities that play to your strengths — so that you’re able to work confidently with our clients and give them the expert advice they need.

As you build a successful career with us, we’ll give you everything you need to shine in a client-facing role, become a technical specialist in your individual area and advise our clients on our market-leading products.

We’ll also enrol you in our Launch development programme, which is designed to support your role, help you refine your professional skills and expand your network.

Business knowledge

In order to set ourselves apart from the competition, our consultants need to be at the top of their game; after all, our clients rely on our world-class expertise. So we’ve designed our graduate programme to set you up for success. It’ll give you broad-reaching business acumen, as well as comprehensive knowledge of all our business solutions.

This includes:

  • Professional study (where relevant). We’ll support your industry qualifications through our Go Further programme (equivalent to a bachelor’s degree or higher). This programme combines study with on-the-job experience to help you put theory into practice
  • Knowledge sessions We have a wealth of experienced individuals who’ll spend time with you, explaining the makeup and technical capabilities of our business
  • Hands-on learning We’ll equip you with fundamental compliance and regulatory knowledge to ensure our clients receive excellent advice and service
Professional skills

Putting the knowledge you gain into practice takes skill. That’s why the professional skills development we provide is industry-focused and experiential.

It includes:

  • Commercial awareness
  • Building networks and personal brand
  • Followership; stage one of leadership
  • Project management and productivity
  • Verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Resilience
Relationships

We’ll help you build relationships with people who have the experience, knowledge and skills that you’ll look to develop yourself over time. Our business leaders are committed to your future, and we encourage you to make the most of your time with them.

Some key relationships we’ll help you to develop are:

  • Your early careers network. You will be introduced to colleagues from all areas of the business, which will help you to build your support network from day one and navigate your way in our organisation
  • Your ‘connector’. To help you settle into the business as quickly as possible, and find answers to any questions you may have, we’ll put you in touch with a connector. Your connector will help you to settle into the business and feel at home
  • Business seniors There are many senior and experienced people within Aon who will take an active interest in your development
  • HR, talent development and the early careers team. They’re all here to open doors for you, and advise you on developing your knowledge, skills and career
