Internships and Placement Programmes

Applications for the 2021 Internship and Industrial Placement Programmes are now open for applications. Please see the steam specific pages for more information about our programmes and formally submit an application. Please note, candidates can only apply to a maximum of 2 different programmes.

Our nine-week summer internship and industrial placement year programmes are designed to both challenge and support you, giving you the guidance you need to get ahead and make a difference.

Through these programmes, you’ll gain valuable insight into our business and our culture, as well as an invaluable opportunity to help us forge lasting legacies with worthwhile causes through our social impact programme.

During your placement, you’ll contribute to our business and take on real responsibility. Thanks to the comprehensive support and training we offer, you’ll gain specialist technical knowledge and business skills to take forward into your career.

As part of Aon’s community engagement, you’ll be involved in projects that help local communities; these will allow you to show your ability to work with clients, as well as building your teamwork and communication skills.

Plus, as a programme participant, you’ll be automatically considered for a place on our graduate or future internship programmes. This will be based on your performance and achievements during your time with us, with no further assessment needed.

Training and development

During your placement you’ll be contributing to our business, taking on real responsibilities from day one and learning to manage your work effectively. You’ll be assigned a manager and a ‘connector’ colleague — they’ll put you in touch with useful Aon colleagues, guide you through your placement and answer any questions you have about your work and our business.

Technical training and business skills will be a core part of your programme; we’ll make sure you leave us with a strong understanding of the professional world and how to navigate it.

Though an internship or placement year doesn’t guarantee a place on our graduate programme, a large proportion of our candidates go on to enjoy a career with us.
