Qin Lu is the Head of North Asia for Aon, based in Hong Kong, and serves on both the Asia Pacific Executive Committee and the Global Executive Leadership Team. In his role, Qin drives the execution of Aon’s global and regional strategy across North Asia—including Japan, Korea, Chinese mainland, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Macau—ensuring global priorities are tailored to local market opportunities for maximum client impact.
With over 29 years of experience in the (re)insurance industry across Asia, Qin has a proven track record of leading diverse and cross-solution teams to deliver innovative solutions and differentiated value for clients. He is highly experienced in working with regulators, insurance and reinsurance companies, and digital distribution platforms throughout the region.
Qin joined Aon in 2016 and has held several senior leadership roles, most recently having served as CEO of Greater China for Aon. Prior to his tenure at Aon, Qin spent 19 years at Swiss Re, where he held various strategic and leadership positions across Asia, including President of Swiss Re China, playing a pivotal role in expanding the company’s regional presence.
