Executive Memorandum Temporarily Implements Regulatory Freeze
On January 20, 2025, through an Executive Memorandum (Regulatory Freeze Pending Review), the President directed all federal agencies to pause or not publish any regulations until such guidance can be reviewed and approved by the new administration. The memorandum also encouraged agencies to consider postponing and opening public comments periods for any pending rules.
