IRS, Treasury Ask for Recommendations for 2025–2026 Priority Guidance Plan
On April 4, 2025, the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) and Treasury released Notice 2025-19, which invites the public to submit recommendations for items to be included in the 2025–2026 Priority Guidance Plan. The Treasury and IRS use the Priority Guidance Plan each year to identify and prioritize tax issues that should be addressed through regulations, Revenue Rulings, Revenue Procedures, Notices, and other published administrative guidance. The 2025–2026 Priority Guidance Plan will identify guidance projects that the Treasury and IRS intend to actively work on as priorities during the period from July 1, 2025, through June 30, 2026. Recommendations are due by May 30, 2025.
