If We Knew How Good This was Going to Be
Indian Companies on the TCFL World Map
Much is being discussed about the 'Make in India' and
'Skill India' initiatives that focus on facilitating investment
and fostering innovation. The 'Skill India' campaign, as we
know, aims at promoting entrepreneurship and equipping
500 million work-ready Indians by 2022, thus, in turn,
providing trained workers for the 'Make in India' campaign.
While the aspiration of becoming the world's 'human
resource capital' has fired up the imagination of the
nation and the world alike, we at Aon are celebrating the
entry of three Indian companies - Hindustan Unilever,
ICICI Bank and the Mahindra Group - into the global list
of the Aon Hewitt Top Companies for Leaders 2014 Study.
They have been recognized amongst the Top 10
companies worldwide for nurturing and developing
world-class leaders.
It is indeed a matter of great pride for us to witness the journey of these Indian companies establishing their place
amongst global giants like GE, IBM, General Mills and
P&G among others and compete globally in their intent,
design and ability to develop a strong leadership pipeline.
Hindustan Unilever represents a strong arm of Unilever
plc. that has expertly maneuvered the heterogeneous
Indian consumer market and come out victorious. On
the other hand, ICICI and Mahindra, both indigenous
companies, not only made their mark in the domestic
economy but are actively pursuing international markets.
These Top Companies have truly done us proud by
'building in India' the leaders and the talent that is taking
on the world with great aplomb. It is a mighty boost in
the nation's journey towards becoming the world's human
resource and talent capital.
Kudos to our champions and may their tribe increase!
