Government Shutdown Ends as President Signs Temporary Spending Bill Into Law
On January 25, 2019, President Trump signed a stop-gap spending bill into law (H.J. Res. 28 (116)), effectively ending the government shutdown and providing temporary funding for various government departments and agencies through February 15, 2019.

SOTU Address Scheduled for February 5
President Trump recently accepted House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s invitation to deliver his State of the Union (SOTU) address. The SOTU is scheduled for February 5, 2019.
