IRS Announces 2027 Affordability Percentage for ACA Employer Mandate
The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) issued its annual update to the Affordable Care Act’s (ACA’s) affordability percentage and increased the percentage from 9.96 percent for 2026 to 10.22 percent for 2027. Employer plan sponsors should test the affordability of the group health plans offered to full-time employees against the updated ACA affordability percentage for their 2027 planning cycle.
