The Insurance Act 2015 achieved royal ascent in February 2015 and comes into force on 12 August 2016. This new legislation applies to all reinsurance contracts entered into or varied by endorsement on or after that date which are governed by the law of England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland.
