We also advise employers in their interactions with a wide range of public service pension schemes including the LGPS, the NHS, the Teachers and the Principal Civil Service Pension Scheme (PCSPS).

Actuarial Services for LGPS Administering Authorities
Our Public Sector Actuarial Team provides advice to LGPS Fund administering authorities on all aspects of funding, including triennial valuations, advice on the impact of employers leaving and joining funds and evaluation of risk exposure for assessment of indemnity bond requirements.
The team's clients include Shire Counties, Metropolitan Authorities and London Boroughs and covers schemes ranging from £300 million to schemes of £10 billion or more.
Tim leads our Public Sector Actuarial Team. He has over 30 years’ experience advising local authorities in relation to the LGPS and wider issues.

Benefits and Governance
Our Public Sector Benefits Team works closely with officers, committees and panels of LGPS administering authorities, drafting policy documents, delivering training, undertaking governance effectiveness reviews, advising on the administration matters, providing advice in relation to pension taxation limits and much more.
Karen is widely recognised as one of the leading experts in her field, having worked with LGPS funds since 1986.
Karen is a regular speaker at conferences and has been a member of many national working groups including groups developing Pension Boards guidance and pension taxation.

Scheme Employer Service
Our Scheme Employer Service enables employers which participate in the LGPS to easily access independent expert advice from LGPS specialists. These specialists are experienced in advising administering authorities in relation to the LGPS, but are not involved in advising the administering authority in question.
Areas of advice may include support with outsourcing of contracts, exit or entry to the Fund, assessment of indemnity bond requirements or assessing the funding impact of major membership changes. The team also calculate and supply annual accounting figures for employers in respect of their pension obligations.
Chris has over 30 years of pensions-related experience and as well as leading the Scheme Employer Service, Chris takes overall responsibility for delivery of all accounting advice supplied by the team. In this role he regularly interacts with CIPFA and auditors.

Our Public Sector Investment Team is part of one of the largest investment consulting teams in the UK. The team provides a wide range of services to LGPS Fund administering authorities and other public bodies.
Services provided include asset/liability modelling, setting strategic benchmarks, fund manager research, monitoring, search and selection and economic modelling. The Team can also provide Medium Term Asset Allocation advice as well as delegated services.
Emily is a Partner in the firm and has 18 years of experience, the last 9 of which have been focused on advising Public Sector clients.
Training and speaking at conferences has always been a passion and she has spoken at the LGC Investment Summit about the future of the LGPS and the NAPF Local Authority Forum on the topic of collaboration within the LGPS.
