Deepak is the Managing Director of Orient Cement Limited, a CK Birla company, listed on NSE and BSE, with a market cap of close to Rs. 4,000 crore. He is also on the Board of Oriental Bank of Commerce and HIL Limited. Prior to this he was the Group CEO of Jumbo Electronics Group, Dubai, Group COO and a Board Member at Raymond Group, President-Asia Pacific at Gunnebo AB, a Swedish group. 

Over 40+ years of professional life, he has had the opportunity of working across Services, Manufacturing and Retail sectors across Indian Public Sector, Indian Corporate and Multi National Corporation set-ups. He has lived and worked in Hong Kong, Singapore and Dubai besides many cities in India.

His academic qualifications includes a bachelor's degree from Shri Ram College of Commerce and an MBA from FMS, Delhi University.
