Aon appoints Rupert Poland as head of EMEA Digital Asset practice

LONDON, 5 June 2025Aon plc (NYSE: AON), a leading global professional services firm,has announced Rupert Poland as head of its Digital Asset practice for EMEA. Poland will be based in London and report to Tom Davis, executive director EMEA Financial Services Group at Aon.

 

In his new role, Poland will work with global colleagues to expand Aon’s market-leading Digital Asset practice, developing innovative risk solutions and accelerating the creation of specialist insurance offerings with a team of more than 60 professionals to support this sector.

Aon continues to evolve existing digital asset insurances such as those covering theft, loss and destruction of digital assets, while developing emerging solutions such as staking insurance — an area of increasing focus. The firm is also working with both crypto-native and traditional financial institutions, exploring risk transfer solutions ranging from captives to credit facility development.

Before joining Aon, Poland was at Marsh, most recently as Digital Asset Leader for UK FINPRO. Poland brings significant experience in developing market-recognised insurance solutions tailored for digital asset companies and risk quantification frameworks.
