Two New Senior Hires For Reward Solutions Team At Aon

LONDON (12 March 2019) – Aon, the leading global professional services firm providing a broad range of risk, retirement and health solutions, has announced two new senior hires to its Reward Solutions team.

Charlotte Park joins as a partner and Data Service Leader Europe, based in Geneva, Switzerland. Charlotte, who has over 20 years’ experience in the field of reward and data solutions, was previously advisor to a start-up in employee benefits software. Prior to this, Charlotte spent three and a half years as a partner at Mercer, where she was CEO of its Singapore operation, having previously spent thirteen years with the Hay Group, as a management consultant and managing director, Asia of its Reward Information Services business.

Charlotte Park has a B.Comm in Commercial Law & Marketing from the University of Auckland, and an Executive MBA from the University of Sydney.

Claire Morland joins Aon as an associate partner, advising on executive remuneration to remuneration committees and management teams, and draws on over 20 years’ experience of consulting and in-house HR. Prior to joining Aon, Claire worked both in senior in-house reward roles and more recently as managing director of Group Reward at Barclays. Before this, she had consulting roles at both PwC and Mercer.

"The tension between contributions to the pension scheme and other uses of company capital becomes tougher when you are fully funded on technical provisions. Schemes could usefully continue to get similar contributions beyond the end of the recovery plan, to enable de-risking and a shorter period to get to their long-term funding target. But, companies are understandably resistant to paying these contributions, even though this means the scheme ends up retaining more risk."

Claire graduated from Oxford University and is a qualified chartered accountant. She co-leads the City HR Association Reward group.

Andrew Page, European Practice Leader, Reward Solutions at Aon, said: “Both Charlotte and Claire bring excellent and broad experience to the team, with knowledge gained both in-house and in consulting roles which I’m sure our clients will value highly.

“We are seeing ever-increasing demand from companies and remuneration committees for well-informed, data-driven advice. Our clients are well aware of the need both to attract and retain the best people for their organisations, but also to have remuneration structures which are appropriate and aligned with their strategy, culture and values - and which serve the needs of all stakeholders.”
