Collaborating to close the protection gap

Wednesday - 5 February 2020 - London's Guildhall

Guildhall, Basinghall St
London, EC2V 7HH
United Kingdom

Time: 9:00am - 5:00pm

Nearly 400 natural catastrophe events in 2018 generated economic losses of USD225 billion yet only USD90 billion was insured. We need to close this gap – by managing the impact of factors such as climate change – to protect our global communities.

The insurance industry is committed to finding solutions to close the gap by working with governments, humanitarian organisations and NGOs to protect their people and property before and after catastrophes.

How can we collaborate more effectively to build resilience at scale?

Aon in collaboration with the City of London, The British Red Cross, ClimateWise, Insurance Development Forum, AXA XL, Pool Re, MSAmlin and Renaissance Re are honoured to host a day of discussion and inspiration.
