In a recent webcast, public sector and GMP specialists from Aon set out to address one of the biggest challenges facing public service pension schemes: the abolition of contracting out. Together with Terry Edwards, Senior Pensions Adviser at the Local Government Association and Jill Davys, Head of Financial Services at Hackney Pension Fund, the team delved in into what is involved in the scheme reconciliation exercise as well as some of the decisions that need to be made for that exercise. Additionally, we touched on the national discussions which may impact both funding and the scheme reconciliation exercises.
