Our guest speakers

I am delighted to announce that two new external speakers have now been confirmed and will be joining Declan Curry, Expert Journalist, on our speaker panel:

David Slater, Director of Trade at KPMG, has an extensive background in trade and inward investment in the UK having spent in excess of 16 years working for Government, the Mayor of London and now KPMG. During his presentation David will discuss how he believes global businesses see the UK as a place in which to invest and grow and will also look at the historical trends behind this and how this looks going forward.

Simon Rockett, Senior Manager for Risk Services at Atradius, will review the economic and political climate from the insurer perspective and present his views on how the current environment is impacting investment. Simon will discuss market trends from 2018 and what he sees as the key challenges for businesses in 2019 and beyond.

Declan Curry, Expert Journalist, is an event host and speaker and commentates on the day’s business and economic news each morning on LBC Radio. Declan will be giving his views on the political and economic environment, the key challenges facing businesses and how major players in the UK can make themselves more attractive to investors. Declan will be chairing this event and hosting the Q&A sessions with all our speakers.
