Aon Singapore was the proud sponsor of the Singapore Venture Capitalist Association (SVCA)'s New Year Networking Night 2017, where we hosted close to 80 guests at the Tower Club for an intimate wine tasting and networking session.
This is the second year that Aon Singapore has partnered with SVCA to organise such an event to kick off the new year for the private equity and venture capital sector.
Mr Anupam Khaitan, SVCA Committee member and Principal of Symphony Asia Holdings, gave the opening address of the event. He mentioned that despite all the macroeconomic uncertainty in the region, the private equity and venture capital sector did well in the past year.
Mr Justin McCarthy, Regional Director of Mergers & Acquisitions Solutions, Aon Risk Solutions, welcomed our guests with an introduction of how Aon is well-positioned to empower results for our guests in the field of risk management.
With the glittering Central Business District night view as a backdrop, our guests savoured six different French wines, including the Hugel, Riesling (2011) and the Châteauneuf-du-Pape (2013), while enjoying canapes at the exclusive Tower Club.
We have received many positive feedbacks about the wines, the event ambience, and the opportunity to network with other like-minded executives and professionals to kick 2017 off to a good start.
Mr Mike Ang (Director, Head of Financial Services & Professions Group, ARS Singapore) said that this continues our rapport and momentum in hosting events with SVCA, and associating with firms in the PE/VC sector to provide M&A solutions.
