Meet the trustees

The Aon MasterTrust is governed by an experienced Board of three independent, professional trustees, chaired by Roger Mattingly. Focused on delivering the best possible outcomes for members, they work independently of Aon to set the strategic direction for the scheme and ensure it is meeting its legal and regulatory commitments.

As chair of the Trustee board for the MasterTrust, Roger Mattingly believes that the key to successful governance is to have sincere member empathy, and to constantly strive for the high knowledge and know-how demands that are needed to optimise outcomes. Roger is an independent trustee on nine trustee boards and chairs eight of those, including two master trusts. He has also been a member of DC governance committees. He has over 39 years pensions experience and has amassed a wealth of industry accolades and achievements over this period.

 

Kim Nash

Kim Nash, representing PTL, brings strong technical ability and in-depth knowledge of pension issues to her role in the MasterTrust. This, together with her ability to communicate concepts clearly means she is well placed to guide pension schemes on the journey they need to take to provide the best possible member outcomes. Kim is an independent trustee on twelve trustee boards and chair of two established master trusts. Kim has an actuarial background and significant DC experience. As such, she brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to her role with the MasterTrust.

 

Jonathan Reynolds

Jonathan Reynolds, representing Capital Cranfield, brings a pragmatic approach to trusteeship and will always ask the question: how is this good for the members? A former partner in a national accountancy firm, Jonathan brings broad experience to the MasterTrust with a particular focus on the role of contributions and investment choices on member outcomes. He has been a trustee of pension schemes since 1991, becoming a full time independent trustee in 2013. Jonathan is a trustee on two master trusts and sits on ten other trustee boards.
