Bureau of Indian Affairs

We provide the Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA) with comprehensive Organizational Change consulting services consisting of employee assessment and leadership development training and coaching, ultimately culminating in change management services.  Our approach to change management with the BIA is to focus on their talent, enabling the agency to identify, select and train the next generation of leaders to bring about the necessary organizational culture change.  We work closely with senior leadership at Indian Affairs in all phases of project design and implementation to ensure that our services align with their strategic mission.

Federal Bureau of Investigations

Since 2003, the FBI and Aon have partnered together to implement a robust, fair and efficiently administered leadership skills assessment.  Thousands of GS-14 and GS-15 employees have subsequently taken a telephonic role-play assessment during the FBI’s promotion process.  Aon custom-designed the assessment by defining the FBI’s key leadership competencies and scaling behavioral standards for each competency.  Our remotely administered testing solution allows for significant efficiencies in the testing process, and it is fully compliant with the Bureau’s stringent security requirements.

Internal Revenue Service

The IRS identified a need for a culture shift to become more customer-focused and implemented rapid policy changes to achieve this objective.  Together with Aon, the IRS implemented a standardized assessment for customer service representative (CSR) positions using both our telephone assessment process (TAP) and our online test, REPeValuator, to simulate a realistic job preview of potential customer interactions.  Aon identified performance criteria against which candidates could be measured through the TAP.  The implementation of our solution resulted in more successful CSR training, faster training, decreased attrition, stronger job match and ultimately improved customer service performance.

Department of Energy

Aon provides actuarial and consulting services to Department of Energy (DOE) under a multiple-year contract.  Aon delivers actuarial valuation reports, comparative value studies, cost studies, or other reports as requested.  Our deliverables are used by DOE to assist in evaluation and review of current and proposed site expenses for value and comparability to industry standards.  Technical support may also be in the form of training provided to Headquarters and site personnel with oversight responsibility of human-resource management related expenses.

Aon’s work for DOE generally falls within the following categories:

  • Employee Health & Welfare Benefits
  • Employee Compensation
  • Retirement Programs
  • Risk Management
