New chief executive officer named for Housing Industry Association Insurance Services

Leader will oversee growth and innovation strategies for the organisation

SYDNEY, 8 December 2022 - Housing Industry Association Insurance Services (HIAIS), global professional services firm Aon's joint venture with the Housing Industry Association (HIA), has today named Anita Wilson as chief executive officer.
 
Wilson will lead the growth and innovation strategies for the organisation, which provides insurance products and risk advice to the residential building industry, in what is a challenging time for the housing and construction industry.
 
Wilson has held senior roles in the insurance industry including general manager, insurance services, at Paynter Dixon; national manager, loss adjusting at Johns Lyng Group; and national manager, loss adjusting and head of client at Sedgwick.
 
David Turner, chairman of HIAIS, welcomed Wilson’s appointment: "Anita is a dynamic and influential, strategic leader with an outstanding track record of commercial performance, successful collaboration and relationship management, and an extensive operational background within the insurance and related building and repair sectors. Her expertise and in-depth knowledge of the industry will be valuable as she leads HIAIS to future growth and success. I have no doubt that she will continue to position us strongly as a leading insurance broker for the industry."

Wilson commenced the role in October 2022.
