Aon Names Karl Hamann as CEO for Indonesia

JAKARTA (27 September 2022) – Aon plc (NYSE: AON), a leading global professional services firm, today announced Karl Hamann has been named chief executive officer of Aon Indonesia.

Hamann will be based in Jakarta and report to Owen Belman, chief executive officer of Aon Asia.

He is a proven business leader and having previously lived in Indonesia, brings an understanding of the culture, language and business environment so we can continue to help our clients protect and grow their businesses,” said Belman.

Hamann is an experienced leader specialising in operational transformation, including establishing an offshore centre, offshoring functions, and digitalising internal processes as well as product fulfillment and claims.

Hamann joins Aon from Pacific MMI Insurance where he was chief executive officer, based in Papua New Guinea. In his more than 30 years of experience in the insurance industry, he has held various leadership roles including CEO of Philippines, Malaysia and South Asia at QBE and commissioner of PT QBE Indonesia.
