Global platform helps employers connect employees with benefits, rewards and wellbeing programs
SYDNEY, 16 Sep. 2026 - Aon plc (NYSE: AON), a leading global professional services firm, today announced the launch of Activate in Australia, its employee experience platform designed to help organisations administer and deliver more personalised and accessible benefits, rewards and wellbeing experiences.
According to Aon's 2026 Human Capital Trends Study, 52% of Australian employees believe customised benefits are important or extremely important, while only 25% of employers currently offer them. Activate is designed to help organisations respond to this demand by bringing benefits, rewards, wellbeing and superannuation together in one digital experience.
As workforce expectations evolve, organisations in Australia are looking for new ways to strengthen their employee value proposition. Activate helps employers connect employees with their benefits through a personalised and accessible digital experience. The platform is designed to help organisations make better workforce decisions while giving employees greater visibility into, and appreciation of, the value of their benefits and total rewards.
“Employee expectations continue to evolve, particularly around benefits and rewards,” said Stuart Whitbread, Director, Health and Benefits, Australia, Aon. “Organisations have an opportunity to strengthen employee engagement by making benefits easier to access and more relevant to individual needs. When employees better understand the support available to them, they are more likely to recognise its value.”
Built on more than 40 years of benefits technology innovation, Activate combines technology with Aon's Human Capital expertise to help create a connected employee experience. It includes self-service tools, automated workflows and real-time analytics that help employees make informed decisions about their benefits and total rewards.
Activate also helps organisations demonstrate the value of their investment in their people. Through digital total reward statements, employees can access a personalised view of their remuneration, benefits and wellbeing offerings in one place, helping them better understand the value of their employment package.
“Employers are investing in benefits to attract, retain and support their people, but that investment has less impact if employees cannot easily understand or access what is available,” added Whitbread. “The Activate platform helps employers simplify administration, communicate the value of their benefits more clearly and make better-informed workforce decisions.”
Aon will host a webinar on 24 September 2026 exploring how organisations can leverage technology, data and insights to deliver personalised benefits experiences and support workforce resilience.
Activate is available in more than 100 countries and supports more than six million individuals globally. The platform is available in 138 languages and is designed to deliver a consistent global experience while adapting to local market requirements and employee needs.
