TOKYO, Oct. 1, 2026 –
Aon plc (NYSE: AON), a leading global professional services firm, today announced two leadership appointments for Japan Global Solutions, reinforcing the firm’s commitment to helping Japanese multinational clients address complex business, risk and people challenges through integrated global capabilities and local expertise. Aon’s Japan Global Solutions is a global network of professionals who bring together Aon’s integrated Risk Capital and Human Capital capabilities to help Japanese multinational clients respond to changes in their domestic market while continuing to expand internationally.
To help accelerate the next phase of growth for Japan Global Solutions, Naoki Kido will join Aon as Global Head of Japan Global Solutions, effective 30 September 2026. Yuki Tanemura has been appointed Global Chief Commercial Officer and Head of North America for Japan Global Solutions (JGS), effective 1 January 2027. Kido will be based in Tokyo and report to Craig Torgius, Chief Client Officer and Head of Enterprise Clients, Asia Pacific. Tanemura will be based in Chicago and report to Kido. These appointments are subject to applicable regulatory requirements.
“We are delighted to welcome Naoki to Aon and excited to see Yuki step into this expanded leadership role,” said Torgius. “Together, they bring extensive experience supporting multinational clients in Japan and a strong understanding of how to connect capabilities across markets. Their complementary strengths will help accelerate the continued evolution of Japan Global Solutions and strengthen our ability to deliver innovative, integrated solutions for clients around the world.”
As Global Head of Japan Global Solutions, Kido will lead the global strategy, vision and continued growth of the platform. He will work closely with leaders across Aon’s Risk Capital and Human Capital capabilities to strengthen collaboration, further develop the Japan Global Solutions network and advance opportunities for Japanese multinational clients globally.
Kido brings more than two decades of experience serving Japanese multinational organisations. Most recently, he served as Practice Leader of WTW’s Japan Global Practice Group for North America, where he led client engagement and growth initiatives for Japanese companies operating across the United States and Canada. He previously held senior leadership roles across North America and Europe, including Director for the Japan Global Practice Group in EMEA and North America and National Sales Leader for the Japan Global Practice Group. Throughout his career, he has advised clients on complex risk management, employee benefits and multinational business challenges across global markets.
Commenting on his appointment, Kido said: “I am honoured to join Aon and excited to work with clients across Japan during a period of significant change and opportunity. Organisations in Japan are navigating an increasingly interconnected business environment, creating new challenges and opportunities across risk and people priorities. I look forward to working with colleagues across Aon’s global network to help clients achieve growth and make better decisions through Aon’s expertise and analytic capability.”
In his expanded role, Tanemura will focus on accelerating commercial growth, deepening client engagement and strengthening collaboration across the Global Solutions network. During his 20 years with Aon, he has held leadership positions across Japan, Southeast Asia and the U.S., developing deep expertise in serving multinational clients in Japan and helping connect them with the full breadth of Aon's global capabilities.
Masahito (Max) Hirai, CEO of Japan, Aon, said, "As the needs of businesses in Japan continue to evolve, and as Japanese companies continue to expand their global footprint, strengthening the connection between our teams in Japan and across our global network has never been more important. Kido and Tanemura bring complementary strengths that will help deepen that connectivity and continue to deliver a more seamless experience for clients both in Japan and internationally. Their appointments reflect Aon’s long-term commitment to the Japanese market and continued investment in the leadership, capabilities and global collaboration needed to support multinational organisations in Japan navigate complexity and achieve their ambitions wherever they operate."
