GDPR fines and their insurability – one year on

The scale of fines following the implementation of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) a year ago has understandably generated further concern in boardrooms globally. We have now seen the largest fine to date of EUR 50 million earlier this year, imposed by the French Prudential Supervision and Resolution Authority, on a multi-national technology company relating to transparency and consent.
