The Future of Irish Pensions

In February 2018 the government published "A Roadmap for Pensions Reform 2018 – 2023". This wide-ranging document sets out the government's view of how the Irish pensions system can best be modernised to make it fit for the future. With just over a year passing since its publication, we took this time to review the progress achieved to date.

In addition, the IORP II Directive and new reporting requirements being introduced by the European Central Bank (ECB) and the European Insurance and Occupational Pensions Authority (EIOPA), along with ECB stress tests, are going to place a significant added burdens to scheme trustees.

During this webinar, Mary Cahill and Shane Horgan of Aon are be joined by Jerry Moriarty, CEO of the IAPF to explore the implications of these developments, as well as share thoughts and best practice ideas to help trustees remain compliant with the increasingly demanding governance burden.
