Here are the stark numbers. Women make up about 9% of senior management in private equity and about 14% of dealmakers in the middle markets. Only 2.2% of venture capital funding went to women-founded companies (yes, you read that correctly) and only 12% of funding went to teams with at least one woman founder.

The effect of this imbalance ripples throughout the business world, creating the stubborn cycle of lower representation in the senior ranks of business despite the balanced progression of women coming out of MBA and law programs and the balanced participation of women in the broader business community. While there are sincere efforts on the part of businesses to change this, the needle has not been moving, and in some key stats it has even been moving backward. What can women do together and in partnership with their male colleagues to make real change happen?

In this talk, we will hold a fireside chat with two highly accomplished women in M&A who will share their experiences in beating the odds to realize success and share their thoughts on how we can work as individuals and together to effect change.
