Hoe herkent u phishing?

Wat is phishing?

Phishing is een vorm van digitale oplichting waarbij criminelen zich voordoen als betrouwbare organisaties om persoonlijke gegevens, wachtwoorden of financiële informatie te verkrijgen. Vaak gebeurt dit via e-mail, sms of nepwebsites die sterk lijken op die van echte bedrijven. Herken phishing door te letten op verdachte links, onpersoonlijke aanhef, taal- en spelfouten.

Hoe herkent u phishing?

Hier leest u waar u phishingberichten aan kunt herkennen. Controleer altijd het e-mailadres van de afzender en klik nooit zomaar op links in verdachte berichten.

    Onbekende afzender en/of domeinnaam

    E-mailadressen die niet overeenkomen met de domeinnamen (alles wat achter het @-teken in het e-mailadres komt) waar Aon gebruik van maakt. Bekijk de domeinnamen van Aon bij “Komt deze e-mail van Aon?”

    Onverwachte verzoeken

    Onverwachte verzoeken om persoonlijke of financiële gegevens.

    Onbekende links

    Links die leiden naar een onbekende of afwijkende website en die u niet kunt verifiëren of valideren.

    Fouten

    Onpersoonlijke aanhef, taal- en spelfouten.

  • 05

    Aandringen of dreigen

    Dringende toon (“direct reageren!”) of dreiging (“uw account wordt geblokkeerd”).

Komt deze e-mail van Aon?

Wanneer u een e-mail ontvangt van Aon, wilt u natuurlijk zeker weten dat deze ook echt van ons afkomstig is. Hieronder ziet u een lijst met domeinnamen die Aon gebruikt. Als u een e-mail heeft ontvangen van een van deze afzenders, weet u dat u veilig kunt reageren op het bericht of op een eventuele link in het bericht kunt klikken:

  5. @mailing.aon.nl
  6. @up.aon.nl
  7. @aonstudentinsurance.com

Staat de domeinnaam niet in dit rijtje, maar lijkt het bericht wel van Aon afkomstig te zijn? Neem dan contact op met uw vaste contactpersoon. 

 

E-mails van Aon die u ontvangt via een vertrouwde, externe partij

Aon werkt voor digitale communicatie en documentverwerking samen met verschillende externe partijen. Deze bedrijven ondersteunen Aon bij het veilig delen van documenten en het communiceren met u. Dit zijn de volgende partijen:

  • Banqup (Unified Post)
  • Finly en Finconnect (beide onderdeel van Blinqx)

Controleer altijd of de afzenders overeenkomen met de vermelde domeinnamen onder het kopje ‘Komt deze e-mail van Aon?’ hierboven.
