In his current role, Armand oversees the financial management of Aon’s Captive & Insurance Management office in Malta. He is responsible for various tasks including the provision and interpretation of financial information, formulating strategic and long-term business plans and managing a company's financial accounting, monitoring and reporting systems. He is also involved in client relationship and business development and works on a number of projects involving governance, risk financing, anti money laundering, captive solutions and Solvency II requirements. Armand started his career in 2008 with one of the largest insurance companies in Malta. In 2011 he moved to a Big Four audit firm specialising in insurance and risk management. Armand joined Aon Malta in 2013 as a finance executive and was responsible for the Finance Management of a captive and a protected cell company. In 2016 he was promoted to Finance Manager responsible for overseeing all finance management for the captives and protected cell companies managed by Aon Malta. In 2019 Armand was promoted to Associate Director. Armand has served as an MLRO for captive insurance companies, direct writers and protected cell companies. He holds an Honours degree in Accountancy from the University of Malta as well as a Certified Public Accountant warrant from the Malta Ministry of Finance and is a Member of the Malta Institute of Accountants.
