In 2005, House Bill 218 was passed, modernizing Delaware law regarding the formation of captives and positioning Delaware to become a home to the growing number of captive insurance companies being created worldwide.
Delaware’s sophisticated corporate laws, judiciary and financial infrastructure make it an attractive jurisdiction for business. These benefits are extended to the companies through the Delaware Captive Insurance Program.
In Delaware, captive regulators are dedicated exclusively to captive insurance clients’ needs, and work under the direction of the Captive Bureau leadership.
