Dermot leads White Rock, the Aon wholly-owned Protected Cell Company, which provides securely managed insurance solutions to clients in its seven domiciles.
Dermot joined Aon in Ireland in 1993 and through the years was promoted through several positions within the company. During that time, he has managed a wide portfolio of non-life insurance and reinsurance companies for European, Asia and North American clients in addition to having function responsibilities within Aon. In 2010, he was appointed as General Manager of Aon in Malta and in 2013 he was appointed Managing Director of Aon in Gibraltar. Working closely with Aon’s Global Risk Consulting, he has worked on a number projects involving risk financing, (re)insurance company solutions, Solvency II and risk transfer.
In 2016, Dermot took over as the Managing Director of the White Rock group of companies and has led a strong growth and expansion drive during that time.
